CX – Hydraulic Machine

Clamping force: 350 to 6500 kN

Thanks to two-platen technology, the machines of the CX series are readily accessible and very compact. They are available in small (350 to 1600 kN) and medium clamping forces (2000 to 6500 kN).

The new CX (350 – 1600 kN):

“We have made our smallest one top of the class”

KraussMaffei has reworked its proven CX series in the small clamping force range and consistently used all opportunities to increase efficiency: 10 percent less energy, 15 percent faster, 20 percent less oil volume, 25 percent more efficient and 30 percent quieter – these impressive values guarantee 100 percent added value.

Engineering with passion

The machines in the GX series set new standards in the high-tech injection molding industry. The compact two-platen technology developed by KraussMaffei permits faster clamping movements.  Set-up times can also be minimized substantially thanks to theeasy accessibility. Another key feature of the machine is its modularity. Different plasticizing units or technologies can be retrofitted flexibly and individually.

First-class machine concept

There is a great deal to be discovered in the GX since KraussMaffei incorporated some innovations in its development:

GearX and GuideX MC6 control system
BluePower Servo Drive

MX Series

Clamping force: 8,500 to 40,000 kN

Drive unit: hydraulic

MX series: Large machines for high standards

MX machines demonstrate why KraussMaffei is among the market leaders in the area of heavy machinery. In the clamping force sizes ranging from 8,500 to 40,000 kN you get a very compact, high-performance production system that features short machine times, fast cycles and a high output of molded parts. The series has a modular design and offers a wide range of configuration options. This way you can quickly upgrade the standard machine without any problem and optimally adapt it to your production requirements.

Your benefits:

High productivity thanks to:

  • Fast cycles and high output of molded parts
  • Maximum availability and minimum mold wear
  • Shortest dry cycle times
  • High-performance plasticizing units with screws of outstanding quality

High flexibility thanks to:

  • Modular design and a wide variety of configuration options
  • Suitable injection units and optimum screw designs for every task
  • Space-saving dimensions
  • Extensive upgrading options

Even as a standard machine, the MX series can serve as the basis for implementing innovative processes. This is demonstrated, for example, by the multicomponent technology called Multinject that KraussMaffei uses on these machines. With theSpinForm reversing plate technology, you can also achieve a significant increase in cost-efficiency for multi-component injection molding on MX machines. By using a multi-daylight mold in the TwinForm process you can double the output of the MX injection molding machine. Furthermore, the two-platen clamping unit of the MX is also used for the forming process with the IMC injection molding compounder. This shows the sheer endlessness of upgrading options for the series.

PETFORM

Clamping force: 1750 and 3200 kN

EFFICIENT MODULAR PLATFORM FOR THE PRODUCTION OF PET PREFORMS

With their vertical clamping design and an electric plasticizing unit, machines from KraussMaffei are known first and foremost for their high efficiency coupled with excellent availability. The low production costs of manufactured items and a long mold life are testament to this.

This turns PETForm systems into cost-efficient high-performance units that are a reliable solution for the beverage industry. With clamping forces of 1750 kN to 3200 kN and a corresponding modular system, PETForm systems offer the ideal balance between high efficiency and the lowest possible clamping force for mold sizes of up to 112 cavities.

  • 2 platforms with a clamping force of 1750 and 3200 kN
  • Vertical clamping unit Two-platen design
  • Injection units with electric metering drive and high-performance HPX screws that can be tailored to the application in a single stage
  • 24–112 cavities
  • Modular design
  • Highest performance potential
  • Robust and reliable design

How you benefit: High productivity and flexibility with excellent availability.

Adaptive Process Control (APC)

Thanks to years of experience and intensive research, KraussMaffei has reached the next level in consistent component quality. The patented APC technology analyzes and continuously regulates the injection mold-ing process, and can be used for all thermoplastic series.
